1. We Bring The Race Cars – No Car to Purchase, Maintain and Trailer Across the Country
We bring our fleet of formula race cars to every race event, where drivers are assigned one of our cars at random for use for the duration of the event. Additionally, we bring plenty of spares and parts should your car incur a non-driver induced issue. This is the ultimate in arrive-and-drive racing. Imagine trailering a car across the country only to be left disappointed at being unable to race because the transmission is on the fritz. When you race our cars, you have a professionally prepared race car that’s always ready for action supported by our team of mechanics and instructors.
2. We Save You Time and Travel Expense
To make the most of your time, we pack three races into each two-day event helping to minimize your time away from work and school, while maximizing your seat time.
Before you get racing, we start off with two 30-minute practice sessions to give you chance to learn the track and gel with your randomly assigned race car. After that is the first of two qualifying sessions, where drivers will compete to set the fastest lap time which will determine the starting order for the first race.
Then we green flag on the first 30-minute race that features a rolling start. In addition to fighting for the podium, drivers are also mindful of trying to lay down an epic lap time even if they fall down the order knowing that the starting order for the second race is based on lap time (not finishing order). After the second race, we conduct our final 20-minute qualifying session to establish our grid for the third and final 30-minute race. Podiums are held for all three races with the top-3 drivers in each race taking home our coveted Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series trophies. Additionally, our highest placed Masters driver will take home a trophy for winning that class.
3. Significant $cholarship$
How do you win the $ignificant Scholar$hip? Hard work. Preparation. Discipline. Precision.
Okay, that may very well be the obvious answer on how to be successful in life, but it’s equally true in motorsports. Specifically, the $80,000 Scholarship is awarded to the driver who finishes highest in the Championship Standings following the end of the five-event, 15-race season. All drivers will receive three “drop races” wherein their three lowest scores are removed from the tally. Restated: scores will be tallied from your 12 best results. The drops help iron out the occasional misfortune that can befall a driver over the course of a full race season and ensures that we have champions that win on merit.
4. Our Racers Have Demonstrated Their Pedigree On The F1 and Indycar Development Ladders
If you’re confused at what the best path is to moving on in professional motorsports, you needn’t look further. Our Race Series competitors have moved on to campaign in the muliple championships. But it’s not just in the open wheel series that you’ll find our graduates – they are equally well-represented in the sport car world racing in IMSA, MX-5 Cup, 24H Series, WEC, and WRL to name a few. If you want to race in a championship that draws the attention of professional race teams across the globe, you want to race in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series.
5. Find Speed Faster With Our Race Series
With Instructors at every major corner and on-board data analytics in the car, you’ll have direction and insight on where to find those elusive tenths of a second on track. And our Instructors aren’t just helpful on-track – they also can offer tremendous guidance off-track. As all of our Instructors are professional race car drivers themselves, they know exactly what it takes to get to the pinnacle of the sport and can help guide you toward a career in motorsport.
