Advanced Course Eligibility requirements
- Complete Our Basic Course ? You're QUALIFIED & Have a Lucas Oil Formula Car Series COMPETITION License
If you’re haven’t completed our Basic Course, you are eligible to participate if you possess any one of the following items:
- SCCA Competition License
- NASA Competition License
- Documented racing or race car testing experience
- Please inquire if you have other experience
These requirements are general guidelines. Any exceptions to these requirements is at the sole discretion of Lucas Oil School of Racing.

After your Basic Racing School learning, the next step in your driver development is more seat time and an introduction to the data that is all-important in modern motorsports.
Our Advanced Racing School features three 30-minute sessions on track per day, combined with coaching and one-on-one data debriefing, helping you find those elusive last few tenths and prepare you for the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series and a shot at our scholarship prize. Successful completion of our Advanced Racing School enables to you to apply for an SCCA Full Competition License.
Advanced Racing School programs run in conjunction with our Basic Racing School programs, and utilize the same FIRESTONE tires.
Our Advanced Racing School isn’t just for earning the ability to race in our series – it offers an endless opportunity to improve. Many of our most successful drivers repeatedly attend our Advanced Schools, particularly in preparation for a race, to gain the valuable practice and instruction that is provided in an open lapping environment.
