Lucas Oil Formula Car Series Champion To Receive Sabelt Apparel

Italian Manufacturer to Become Official Driver Apparel Company

PALMETTO, Fla. – Andersen Promotions today announced that Sabelt, a well-known name in the global motorsports community, will be the Official Driver Apparel Company for all three levels of the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires – Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship – through 2022, bringing its high quality Italian-made line of suits, shoes, gloves and more.

Safety has been the foundation of Sabelt since its formation in 1972. Headquartered in Moncalieri, Turin, Italy, Sabelt today operates three divisions – car sport seats, racing (seat belts, seats, driver racing apparel and sportwear) and special applications, which is dedicated to the military, aerospace, aeronautic, nautical and aviation industries. Sabelt America is based in Boca Raton, Fla., and led by Erik Krammer.

With an eye toward assisting drivers as they climb the motorsports ladder, Sabelt will provide the scholarship-winning champions in Indy Lights, Indy Pro 2000 and USF2000 with two top-of-the-line driver’s suits, a complete driver’s kit (shoes, gloves and Nomex) and a 40 percent (40%) discount on product for their personal use during their season as reigning champions. The package will also be extended to the Lucas Oil School of Racing – the Official Racing School of the Road to Indy – whose Formula Race Car Series champion’s prize includes a scholarship into USF2000.

“Road to Indy’s contribution to motorsports has played a crucial role in the overall growth of this industry and the sport we all love so much,” said Krammer. “We are excited and honored to partner with Road to Indy as the official safety brand. We look forward to working with the series, teams and drivers.”

Additionally, $250 Sabelt gift cards will be available to race winners in Indy Lights, Indy Pro 2000 and USF2000.

Sabelt can deliver tailor-made products for drivers and teams and is renowned for its customization and exclusivity. All products are made at its factory in Italy.

“We are excited to add yet another great partner in Sabelt to our growing Road to Indy family,” said Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions. “Sabelt’s support in providing our champions with full driving kits aligns with our efforts to assist drivers in all areas as they make their way to the top of our sport. This is one less investment the drivers will have to make, and they will benefit from top-of-the-line products.”

Sabelt is the latest in a growing list of new and established Road to Indy partners that are passionate in assisting the future stars of motorsports with product and cash awards. In 2020, over $2.7M in prize money and awards will be on offer in total across the three ladder series.
