LUCAS OIL BRANDS RACING SCHOOL

New modern racecars and quality programs highlight to new launch

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA (December 10, 2015) – Lucas Oil Products, an industry leader in providing the best lubricants and additives in the world, has acquired the rights to provide its name to the newest open wheel racing school in the United States. The ‘Lucas Oil School of Racing’, based in Florida, will provide automotive education to beginners and advanced drivers alike, as well as corporations looking for the best team building experiences possible. The Lucas Oil School of Racing features a fleet of brand new purpose-built single-seat open wheel racecars that will highlight the learning experience of each participant.

With a focus on bringing a new level of motorsports education and experience to the North American market, the Lucas Oil School of Racing will encompass corporate team building programs, introductory racing and licensing courses, advanced lapping and coaching, and eventually, a soon-to-be-announced school race series. The school has partnered with respected junior formula car builder Gavin Ray of Ray Sport International to manufacture their custom-build proprietary race cars, which will feature FIA-standard tube frame construction, a 2.0 liter fuel-injected four-cycle engine prepared by Steve Knapp of Elite Engines, and industry leading Cooper tires. A total of 20 cars have been delivered for the launch of the school and 10 more are in the process of preparation. The school has completed the construction of their race cars with top quality components to produce the finest school car in the sport.

“Every modern open (and closed) wheel racecar has paddle shift technology, which is why we incorporated it in to our school racecars,” offers Todd Snyder, COO, of the Lucas Oil School of Racing. “To drive a modern day racecar, you need to learn in a modern day school racecar. Besides the latest shifter and suspension technology, all of our school racecars have an AIM Formula Steering Wheel that incorporates the display directly in to the wheel, similar to Formula 1 and IndyCars, and every car has an AIM Smartycam so that we can analyze the drivers performance using data and video.”

The school has partnered with some of the biggest names in racing, including strategic partners like Bell, Sparco, ProShift, Performance Electronics, Pagid, AIM, Elite Engines, Cooper Tires and Ray Sport International. For 2016, the Lucas Oil School of Racing will operate up and down the East Coast and throughout the Midwest at all the great race tracks in the U.S. The school has developed a fully mobile approach that will see four transporters unload at assorted facilities this year, setting up shop at a track near you. Plans are underway to acquire a second fleet of school racecars and transporters in 2017, which will be utilized on the west coast.

The Lucas Oil School of Racing will be launching publically this week at the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis, Indiana. A school car will be on display, and school COO Todd Snyder will be in attendance to answer questions and discuss the school programs.
