A U.S. Army Air Corp training base during World War II, Sebring hosted its first race in 1950, and hosted the first U.S. Grand Prix in 1959, a race won by Bruce McLaren in a Cooper Climax. Since 1952, the track has hosted its signature 12 Hour endurance race. Lucas Oil School of Racing utilizes the 1.7 mile, 11 turn Club Circuit for its programs.
